Hydralyte Plus Sports are both scientifically formulated products made with your hydration needs in mind. The difference is that Hydralyte Plus Sports is specifically formulated for sport and exercise. The Hydralyte Plus Sports formulation is low in sugar (2%) and high in electrolytes. It differs from Hydralyte as it contains 6 additional trace elements which are lost in sweat during sport and exercise â?? magnesium, calcium, zinc, iron, manganese, and copper.
Hydralyte Plus Sports also differs from standard sports drinks as it is high in electrolytes (such as sodium and potassium) and low in sugar (2%). Standards sports drinks are generally high in sugar (6â??8%). Rapid hydration is best achieved by a hypotonic solution that is low in carbohydrates (2â??3%) and high in electrolytes (such as sodium). Based on our review of literature, we believe that the Hydralyte® Plus Sports Range is superior for water uptake.
